Patient Care Technician Medical Oncology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician Medical Oncology to join our team at Reston Hospital Center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
Responsibilities- Participate in the implementation of nursing care plans by performing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed nurse.
- Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care, including admissions data, vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other patient information as outlined by policy.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living to include eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
- Change bed linens as needed.
- Serve as Monitor/Telemetry Tech for the unit as needed.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- CNA Program preferred.
- 1+ year patient care experience in an acute setting is required.
- Possess the ability to work part time, 2 - 12 hour shifts, 7a - 7p, Monday - Friday and rotating weekends.
