Job Summary

The Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technologist is responsible for preparing patients and performing electroencephalograms and other tests within their scope of practice. This role requires the ability to work independently and recognize clinically significant events.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for electroencephalograms and other tests
• Perform electroencephalograms and other tests within scope of practice
• Recognize clinically significant events and take appropriate action
• Maintain accurate and complete records

Requirements

• Current Electroencephalogram (EEG) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience performing neurological tests on patients of all ages
• Knowledge of EEG and evoked potential procedure techniques
• Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and to manage agitated, ill, and uncomfortable patients. The EEG Technologist must be able to work with minimal supervision and reprioritize workload as needed.
