Job Title: Truss Designer

We are seeking a skilled Truss Designer to create accurate and complete Truss Placement Plans and Truss Design Drawings for residential building projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with design software, CAD, and other supporting component design software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and create Truss Placement Plans and Truss Design Drawings with precision and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to discuss design issues and changes.
  • Utilize advanced math skills to calculate lengths, weights, angles, and technical knowledge of CAD software.
  • Follow Building Codes to ensure the safety of the design while meeting industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders throughout the design process.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of Truss Design and Draft experience in the Construction and Building Materials industries.
  • Highly proficient in MiTek software.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Industry knowledge and experience in Construction and Building Materials.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
