Position Overview

As a Sanitation Services Specialist at CHI, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our healthcare environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that patient rooms and all hospital areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, safeguarding against potential health risks associated with infectious diseases and other hazards. This position requires availability for weekend night shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine cleaning and organization of designated hospital areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.
  • Implement sanitization protocols in various hospital settings, utilizing approved tools and methods tailored to specific areas such as patient rooms, emergency departments, and operating theaters.
  • Replenish necessary supplies in patient rooms and common areas, ensuring that soap, paper products, and linens are adequately stocked.
  • Acquire knowledge of and adhere to proper disposal methods for medical waste, including biohazard materials and sharp objects.
  • Maintain a courteous and approachable demeanor in all interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications

Preferred:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare cleaning services.
