Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain survey equipment and tools.
  • Stock and replenish survey supplies and tools.
  • Load and unload equipment and supplies used by the survey crew.
  • Set up and operate survey equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Review and check the work product of others.
  • Understand and comply with written and oral instructions in the English language.
  • Complete forms and report information in standard format.

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel across rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces at construction sites.
  • Ability to move objects between 20-50 pounds long distances (20 feet or more).
  • Ability to use a 16-pound sledgehammer.
  • Ability to walk distances up to a mile at a time, up to five miles per day.
  • Ability to bend or stoop repeatedly.
  • Ability to remain in a standing position for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to make continuous or repetitive arm-hand movements.
  • Ability to work outside in all seasons/weather conditions.
  • Ability to work inside on hard surfaces.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of construction, boundary, and topographic surveys.
  • College or technical courses in mathematics or surveying a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
