Key Responsibilities- Consult with management to ensure compliance with licensing agency standards for patient records
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and ensure release of files and/or records to authorized authorities only
- Inform facility staff of confidentiality policies and remain current on laws and regulations regarding patient/medical information
- Ensure effective organization and completion of assignments, monitoring accuracy and maintenance of medical records
- Respond to inter-departmental and external inquiries and questions, preparing and/or revising medical records as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience in information management and direct experience in a healthcare psychiatric facility preferred
