The position also involves providing oversight and direction concerning overarching goals, critical challenges, innovative concepts, and policy matters. Collaboration with the Principal Project Engineer is essential to address project-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the successful execution of assigned engineering projects by applying extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Make independent decisions on engineering challenges and represent the organization in discussions to resolve significant issues and to strategize work plans.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the completion of designated projects while maintaining primary communication with clients. Develop timelines to guarantee projects are delivered on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Assess technical and professional staffing requirements; recruit, train, manage, and inspire team members.
- Establish and uphold quality and precision standards. Review and authorize comprehensive plans. Secure approval for improvement plans and permits from relevant authorities.
- Actively participate in business development initiatives.
- Assist in defining project scope and preparing technical documentation for proposals.
- Manage invoicing and ensure timely collection of payments from clients for assigned projects. Review and approve invoices, and oversee the collection of outstanding receivables.
- Supervise Engineers and Technicians as necessary. Collaborate effectively with other managers and staff to fulfill the company's mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Kentucky.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
- Strong proficiency in both oral and written communication.
- While primarily an office-based role, occasional fieldwork may be required, necessitating the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical requirements include the ability to squat, kneel, climb, and walk certain distances.
Compensation:
Salary range: $123,000 - $164,211.00
