  • Design and innovate various electrical systems and controllers, including motors, switches, relays, wire harnesses, electronic displays, and lighting solutions.
  • Assist in the creation and documentation of vehicle electrical architecture, encompassing service manuals and parts catalogs.
  • Develop functional specifications for controllers, communication interfaces, diagnostics, and fault detection mechanisms in vehicles.
  • Define, implement, verify, and document hardware/software interfaces.
  • Evaluate existing supplier circuit designs for quality assurance and cost-effectiveness, aiming to identify potential quality improvements and cost savings.
  • Review and establish functional specifications and engineering design standards.
  • Conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and formulate testing and analysis plans for product validation.
  • Perform tolerance studies on components and assemblies, creating detailed engineering drawings.
  • Oversee component and system-level validation testing, generating comprehensive testing and certification reports.
  • Define in-vehicle communication protocols and signal structures across various physical interfaces and topologies, including LIN, CAN, and Ethernet.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to foster new technologies and identify cost reduction opportunities for electrical and electronic systems.
  • Propose innovative ideas, products, and features that enhance customer satisfaction, reduce expenses, and maintain our competitive edge in the industry.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of design and engineering experience.
  • Proficient in CAD software, with a preference for SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with CAN-Bus, LIN, and Ethernet communication protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Skilled in managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and dynamic team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in vehicle design and manufacturing processes.
  • Capabilities in fabrication.
  • Experience in product testing and validation.
  • Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and stress/strain gauge testing.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), dimensional tolerance stack-ups, and FMEAs.
  • Understanding of vehicle certification processes.

Strong written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills are essential. The ability to follow directions and complete tasks is crucial. Candidates must be capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team. A valid passport for potential overseas travel is required.
