We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Heart & Vascular Unit at Longview Regional Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse in our Heart & Vascular Unit, you will be responsible for evaluating assigned patients, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care. You will also assist physicians during examinations and procedures, perform various patient tests, and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
- Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
- Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire
