ESOL Assistant

Join Brevard Public Schools as an ESOL Assistant and play a vital role in supporting the academic success of limited English proficient students.

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated ESOL Assistant to provide assistance to students in the basic subject areas of Math, Science, Social Studies, and Computer Literacy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of English language development and be able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.

• Provide individualized support to students in the classroom and during small group instruction
• Assist teachers in developing and implementing English language learning plans
• Communicate with students, teachers, and parents to ensure effective collaboration and support
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance English language development skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education
• Experience working with school-age children and youth in any capacity preferred
• Valid Florida Driver License
