Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in our inclusive school district.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to address the unique communication needs of each student.
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social development.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records in compliance with state regulations and school district policies.
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Vermont.
  • Certification from the Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools (or eligibility for certification).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain.
  • Strong understanding of educational policies, procedures, and regulations related to special education services.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Preferred experience working with students in educational settings.
