Plant Supervisor

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance functions and assigned personnel in establishing, monitoring, and managing proper maintenance and operating practices. You will coordinate training and development of maintenance support personnel and provide management and supervision of maintenance functions in coordination with Operations.

1. Perform on-site fixed equipment maintenance evaluations with maintenance teams to identify maintenance practices needing improvement.
2. Provide technical on-the-job skills training for maintenance personnel to improve plant level skills, maintenance, and repair best practices.
3. Coordinate with Operations, Central Services, and Engineering personnel for scheduled maintenance and repairs of fixed equipment, as well as capital projects. Provides leadership for Safety, Health and Environmental issues. Develop and improve fixed equipment support and service to operations.
4. Manage and analyze fixed department budgeting and monthly cost. Contingency planning to include maintaining critical spares where plausible.

Experience in managing and supervising maintenance and production employees at either an aggregate, sand/gravel, or asphalt plant operation. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to provide strong leadership and mentorship to employees, both direct and indirect reports. Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of rock crushing equipment, MSHA regulations, engineering principles and procedures, and project management skills. Excellent motivator and team builder, with the ability to form strong social relationships and effectively communicate.
