REPORTS TO: Front End Manager
Wage Range: $16.00 to $21.67 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY: The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing transactions while delivering exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide outstanding service to customers, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in line with the Co-op's service standards.
  • Process payments and provide change with precision.
  • Minimize errors related to transactions and change handling.
  • Accurately enter product prices and department codes.
  • Maintain familiarity with all PLUs and operational procedures at the register.
  • Support Front End operations by performing various tasks when not engaged at the register, including restocking, cleaning, and assisting customers.
  • Help customers with DFC Ownership inquiries.
  • Assist with bagging groceries and other duties as assigned by management.
Safety and Maintenance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols while performing job functions.
  • Keep the work area tidy and organized.
  • Wear appropriate attire during shifts, including nametag and proper footwear.
  • Promptly report any safety or security issues.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Be punctual and ready for work at the start of each shift.
  • Assist customers as necessary, including managing difficult interactions.
  • Support new employees by providing guidance.
  • Exemplify positive behavior for fellow team members.
  • Participate in departmental meetings as required.
  • Comply with all Co-op policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
