About the Role

As a Process Control Engineer Co-op/Intern, you will be immersed in a dynamic and innovative culture, working on various distributed control systems (DCS) throughout the papermaking process. You will collaborate with experienced Process Control Engineers to troubleshoot daily issues, work on special projects, and develop your skills in data input and process information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Process Control Engineers as a resource for daily troubleshooting issues.
  • Contribute to special project assignments to assist engineers, teach responsibility, and improve communication.
  • Utilize computer software for data input and process information systems.
  • Apply AutoCAD skills for fixing loopsheets, elementary, and interconnect drawings.
  • Edit functional spec documents using Word.
  • Audit and update loopsheets and functional specs in DeltaV.
  • Assist process control engineers with checkout and startup of IO during down days.
  • Collaborate with process control engineers on audit corrections of interconnects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be currently enrolled at one of our partner universities, majoring in Chemical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, and have completed the freshman year with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0. You must also be a permanent U.S. resident.
