Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent. As a key member of our Breast Health Services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Operate mammography equipment and perform various procedures to produce high-quality images.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, including density, contrast, and distortion.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Technologist specializing in Radiography, or Technologist specializing in Mammography.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
