Job Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Trades Specialist will support the Regional Operational Maintenance Managers (ROMMs) in the upkeep, repair, and minor construction of various facilities and grounds within the designated ROMM's area.

This role is essential in providing the Virginia Army National Guard with reliable, high-quality, cost-efficient, and timely maintenance services for buildings and landscapes. The selected candidate will primarily focus on preventative maintenance tasks at the Woodstock Readiness Center.

Essential Qualifications:

- Proven experience in at least one of the following trades: Carpentry, HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical;

- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints;

- A valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record is mandatory;

- Strong physical and mental capabilities, including interpersonal skills, attention to detail, comprehension, and problem-solving abilities;

- Proficiency in using various ladders, lifts, custodial, and landscaping equipment;

- Capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Additional Preferences:

- Virginia Herbicide/Pesticide Certification is advantageous.
