Job Overview

Barrday Corp is seeking a skilled Quality Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting performance quality testing using various equipment and methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical and mechanical testing, including resin characteristics, weave distortion, tensile strength, compressive strength, interlaminar shear, etc.
  • Prepare, set-up and run a variety of tests and pieces of test equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Complete and send certification documents to customers.
  • Update and maintain records in the ERP system.
  • Investigate quality issues, including root cause analysis and NCR closure.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training, apprenticeship and/or machining experience will be an asset.
  • At least 3 years of quality or analytical experience or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Must be able to read and receive instructions in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure for extended periods of time to meet requirements of a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Fluency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Effective multitasking required.
  • Strong team player who is self-directed.

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing setting.
  • Continuous periods of standing and walking required.
  • Considerable lifting and loading (with assistance of appropriate tools and machines).
  • May include cutting and the use of sharp tools.
  • Machining equipment.
  • Use of chemicals and solvents with provided PPE.
