Rebar Ironworker Journeyman

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rebar Ironworker Journeyman to join our team at Bechtel Construction Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading and understanding blueprints, aiding in rigging operations, and selecting and placing reinforcing steel in concrete forms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Read and understand blueprints, including elevations and bundle tags.
2. Aid in rigging operations, connections, and disconnections.
3. Select and place rods, bundles, and reinforcing steel in concrete forms.
4. Cut and bend steel rods to exacting specifications.
5. Position and secure steel bars in concrete forms and reinforce concrete.
6. Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
7. Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation.
8. Clean and perform minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
9. Restock supplies and materials as necessary.
10. Work safely and adhere to all safety procedures.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least 48 months of industrial construction experience and a strong understanding of reinforcing steel and concrete forms. They must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain, climb vertical ladders, and work at heights while hanging from rebar structures.
