Hotel Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer II to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a Hotel Engineer II, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel's facilities are in good working order.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and visually inspecting tools and equipment.
- Identify and locate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings, and maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Communicate with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues and ensure seamless operations.
- Display proficiency in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other systems, and perform basic repair and maintenance tasks.
- Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work, and display working knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance and energy management.
- Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, and display ability to train and mentor other engineers.
- Follow all company and safety policies and procedures, and report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background.
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
- Valid Drivers License and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.
