We are seeking an experienced Physician to join our team as a Hospitalist in Madison, WI. As a Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a post-acute hospital setting.
Responsibilities- History and Physical Exams: Conduct thorough examinations of patients and review their medical records, pertinent documents, imaging, labs, and tests.
- Diagnostic Testing: Order and study diagnostic tests, including blood tests, X-rays, etc.
- Rehabilitation Care Plans: Review and approve rehabilitation care plans as needed.
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration: Actively participate in interdisciplinary team and patient care conferences.
- Patient Care: Diagnosis, management, and treatment of acute episodic illnesses and stable chronic conditions, evaluation of current therapies, health maintenance, health promotion, illness prevention education and counseling, and management of urgent care matters.
- Medication Management: Prescribe medications as needed.
- Referrals and Consultations: Write referrals and consult other physicians for comprehensive patient care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and schedules.
- Patient Education: Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications.
- Health Education: Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics, and prevention.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the healthcare team to monitor, evaluate, and communicate relevant data regarding clinical problems.
- Overseeing Patient Care: Oversee patients' overall health, identify opportunities for each patient's needs relative to his/her age, monitor progress of patients, and collaborate with other team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Compliance: Identify and address potential deterrents to compliance with treatment regime.
- Professional Development: Advance professional knowledge and conduct research.
- Follow-up Care: Follow up with patients if they are discharged to assess if needs are being met and determine if additional follow-up care is required.
- Operational Policies: Collaborate closely with the leadership regarding operational policies and procedures that may impact patient care.
- Meetings: Attend monthly meetings as required.
- Medical License: Valid Medical license in WI.
- Board Certification: MD/DO BCBE Hospitalist (Internal Medicine OR Family Practice/Primary Care with Hospital Medicine experience preferred).
- DEA Certificate: Federal DEA and possess or eligible for Controlled Substance Certificate.
- ACLS Certification: ACLS Certified.
- Full-time or Part-time: Full time or part time.
- Flexible Shifts: Flexible shifts in a 7 on 7 off rotation. (5-8 Hours per Day).
- Hourly Rate: $200-$250/hr.
