We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Insurance Billing Specialist to join our team at Gentilly Family Dental. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of dental insurance claims, as well as maintaining strong relationships with providers, clients, and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Submit dental insurance claims with a goal of zero errors
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of claims prior to submission
  • Timely follow-up on insurance claim denials, exceptions, or exclusions
  • Meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Read and interpret insurance explanations of benefits
  • Utilize monthly aging accounts receivable reports to follow up on unpaid claims
  • Make necessary arrangements for dental records requests and completion of additional information requests
  • Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients, and providers
  • Regularly meet with the Manager to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstacles
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in Dental Billing and Coding or Accounting (or two years of experience in lieu of education)
  • Computer experience, including practice management software, word processing, and spreadsheet applications
  • Experience in CPT and ICD-10 coding, familiarity with dental terminology, and excellent customer service skills
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, in a fast-paced dental practice environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team setting.
