Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our culinary team at LCS. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with our culinary team to plan and execute menu cycles, ensuring that our residents receive a diverse and nutritious range of options.
• Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to a high standard, meeting the expectations of our residents and our culinary team.
• Assist with food service, including serving meals and washing dishes, as needed.
• Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that our food service meets the highest standards.
• Represent LCS in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service to our residents and their families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in a restaurant or senior living setting, or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods, including grilling, baking, boiling, and frying.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
