Water Exercise Instructor Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatic Fitness Instructor to join our team at Jenks Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching aquatic fitness classes to students of all ages and skill levels.

About the Position:

• Teach aquatic fitness classes to students of all ages and skill levels
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Assist patrons with questions and provide guidance on effective workout methods
• Maintain a positive exercise experience for students and class participants

Responsibilities:

1. Teach scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time
2. Provide adequate warm-up, exercise, stretching, and cool down
3. Instruct patrons on effective workout methods; explains proper techniques, demonstrates exercises; identifies different muscle groups, and teaches appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles
4. Assists patrons, answers questions, and maintains a positive exercise experience for students and class participants
5. Keeps Aquatic Center Director informed of pool activities, facility needs, and significant problems
6. Ensures that safety standards are met, and that department and facility policies are adhered to

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Must hold current certification as an Aquatic Fitness Instructor by the United States Water Fitness Assoc., Water Fitness Assoc., American Fitness Professionals & Associates, American Exercise Association, or equivalent professional standards association
• Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health, citizenship, and background check

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year
