IT Infrastructure Specialist

EnerSys is seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and administering computer networks and systems.

• Support existing servers, systems, and networks
• Provide security by enforcing user policies and keeping virus software up to date
• Support and maintain major software packages and all networking systems
• Plan for, study, and install new software or upgrade packages
• Create, update, and maintain ISO procedures and standard system operation procedures
• Respond to problems experienced by users and resolve network, computer, and user-related issues
• Design and maintain reliable backups for necessary restore of system data
• Add new printers or computers, update existing network information, and install or upgrade applications

• A working knowledge of networked systems and networked applications
• Currently Microsoft base platform in an Ethernet environment
• Good interpersonal skills to work with users and vendors
• Strong organizational and project planning skills with emphasis in prioritizing different and concurrent tasks
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Ability to identify and diagnose problems related to computer hardware and software

Education and/or Experience: Degree in computer science or related field with two or more years experience in network administration, windows operating systems, or computer troubleshooting, and systems security.
