The FPGA Development Engineer at Varex Imaging Components plays a crucial role in the development of new products. We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual with a passion for quality and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new RTL code modules for image acquisition and processing
- Analyze existing designs using simulation, JTAG, and scripting tests
- Perform timing and CDC analysis of existing and new designs
- Write design requirements, automated test procedures, and unit tests
- Collaborate with the hardware, software, mechanical, and image quality groups
- Perform x-ray testing of imaging devices and analyze image quality
Requirements:
- Familiarity with recent Xilinx or Altera FPGAs
- Experience with Verilog/System Verilog or VHDL
- Experience with simulation tools such as Modelsim or Questa
- Experience with writing simulation testbenches
- Understanding of synchronous design methodology
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language such as Python or TCL
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
- 2+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated simulation testbenches or test automation
- Experience integrating FPGA code with embedded software
- Hands-on experience in analog and mixed-signal circuits
- Familiarity with PCB schematic and layout tools
- Familiarity with debugging tools such as Chipscope or Signaltap
- Knowledge of chip and board interfaces
- Knowledge of networking/Ethernet
