The Arkansas Department of Health seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in Little Rock, AR. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and promoting health education to the community.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to patients in a clinical setting. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to public health and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $63,830.00 - $96,864.00 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement plan.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing physical examinations, and monitoring vital signs
- Develop and update patient care plans to ensure optimal treatment outcomes
- Counsel and instruct patients and families on proper care and use of medication and medical equipment
- Participate in community health education initiatives to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arkansas
- Minimum one year of experience in public health or maternal/pediatric nursing preferred
- CPR certification required
- Ability to work rotating shifts and hours other than normal working hours, as needed
