Job Summary

Doctors Medical Center Modesto is seeking a skilled Activity Therapist Assistant to join our Behavioral Health team on a per diem rotate basis. As an Activity Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, treatment groups, and record-keeping services to patients involved in our Creative Therapies program.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and treatment groups to patients in the Creative Therapies program
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Programs Manager and interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Represent the Creative Therapies Services as a whole within the clinical program
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational, Occupational, Art, Music, movement/Dance Therapy or other appropriate discipline
  • Psychiatric Inpatient or Outpatient experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to perform groups and activities in other languages highly desirable
Working Conditions

The Activity Therapist Assistant will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying and unpredictable situations. The incumbent must be able to handle emergency and crisis situations, work irregular hours, and be exposed to unpleasant elements.
