Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering for water distribution, wastewater management, and roadways industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing detailed civil engineering designs and plans using CAD software and other design tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Development: Develop detailed civil engineering designs and plans using CAD software and other design tools. Ensure designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Analysis: Perform technical analysis and calculations related to grading, drainage, and roadway design. Analyze site conditions and provide recommendations to optimize design efficiency.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to integrate designs into larger project plans. Ensure that design work is consistent with project goals and timelines.
  • Documentation: Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, and other documentation required for project approvals and construction. Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control checks on design work to ensure accuracy and compliance with engineering standards. Address any design issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide design solutions that meet their requirements. Present design concepts and updates as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in civil engineering for water distribution, wastewater management, and roadways industries is highly preferred
  • Civil engineering design and site planning skills
  • Experience with stormwater management
  • Knowledge of erosion control techniques
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

What We Offer

Talimer's client offers a competitive salary range of $65-$70K, commensurate with skills and experience. This is a full-time, permanent position located onsite in Katy, TX.
