About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Server Administrator to join our team at Sligo Software Solutions Inc. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in modernizing legacy Windows-based Public Safety systems and setting up and configuring new web and applications servers based on current architecture and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, configure, and test the upgrade/remediation of Public Safety Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) systems
  • Install, upgrade, and/or patch COTS software on Server and Client machines
  • Support existing COTS software to upgrade/remediate security vulnerabilities and modernize the application
  • Securely design and implement modern Windows COTS-based systems
  • Provide production system support, troubleshooting Server, Network, or Database-related system issues

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on Public Safety systems
  • 84 months of experience installing, upgrading, patching, and troubleshooting Server-based software products
  • 24 months of experience supporting Server Operating Systems
  • 24 months of experience in Web Server administration
  • 24 months of experience in Network troubleshooting
  • 24 months of experience in Database client installation and configuration
  • 24 months of experience in Security Principals
  • 24 months of experience in System Architecture and Design
