Care Manager Role
This position involves working the 11:30am - 8:00pm ET shift to engage with insurance providers for eligibility details, benefit assessments, copayment support, and prior authorization processes. The role offers flexibility for remote work or office-based tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls and provide assistance related to pharmacy services.
- Gather client information, confirm details, and liaise with insurance companies for benefit assessments.
- Accurately complete prior authorizations and assist patients with copayment support programs.
- Deliver friendly and efficient service to clients.
- Engage in training and educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge.
- Collaborate both independently and as part of a team to achieve tasks effectively.
- Maintain high-quality results and suggest improvements to procedures.
- Adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Establish relationships with clients and third-party entities.
- Exhibit excellent listening and problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma is mandatory; an associate degree or higher is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or patient services is required.
- Proven skills in time management, planning, and prioritization.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Proficient in MS Office with a focus on documentation accuracy.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for supporting clients.
- Prior data entry experience with a typing speed of 30wpm or more.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
