Electrical Product Assembler

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Product Assembler to join our team in the final assembly department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for making connections between internal and external assemblies, adding external components, and performing repairs on units, parts, or incoming materials.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive assignments and instructions from supervisors
Follow established manufacturing procedures and guidelines
Coordinate with supervision and team leads
Read and understand schedule and workflow requirements
Get materials from storage areas and complete kits with hardware and parts
Inspect assemblies, products, processes, and materials for conformance to design criteria and specifications
Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean and orderly
Perform minor equipment repairs and machine maintenance
Use shop floor labor collection system accurately
Write maintenance work orders for damaged tooling and equipment when necessary
Ability to utilize computer system to review procedures, drawings, and non-conformances
Perform work in other departments as needed
Follow all safety procedures and policies of the company

Requirements:
Ability to read and understand blueprints and assemble components per drawings provided and established standards
Ability to weld components with appropriate techniques (optional)
Knowledge of 5S principles and ability to train new operators
Ability to investigate potential and actual non-conformances and recommend corrective action

Working Conditions:
May work in Med Power, Large Power, or EHV product lines
May work with oily components inside and outside of the tank
May be required to use portable scaffold and steps, ladders, radial and band saw, vacuum cleaner, hydraulic jacks, threading machine, hi-press crimpers, grinder, stud gun, hand drill, pneumatic wrenches, mallet, sledge, pry bars, blocks, wire stripper, hand crimper, and other equipment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilize computer system to review procedures, drawings, and non-conformances
Ability to read and understand blueprints and assemble components per drawings provided and established standards
Ability to weld components with appropriate techniques (optional)
Knowledge of 5S principles and ability to train new operators
Ability to investigate potential and actual non-conformances and recommend corrective action
