About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Support Engineer to join our team. This role is critical to Meter Service's success, and the right candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact. As a Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving issues across Meter Service's full stack, including wireless, wired, and security devices.
You will work closely with our Solutions Engineering and Operations teams to assist in configuration changes and documentation for new deployments. You will also collaborate with our Engineering team to develop feature requests, bugs, and workflow improvements to make Meter Service's products better.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the shape and direction of Meter Service's Support Engineering function. You will have the chance to work with a talented team to make the biggest impact of your career.
What You Will Do- Work across Meter Service's vertically integrated Network Operating System, serving as the subject matter expert for Security, Firewall, and VPN escalations
- Scope and effectively resolve complex and time-sensitive tickets from customers
- Monitor proactive alerts, develop comprehensive playbooks, and take decisive action to resolve customer issues
- Create design templates to streamline operational deployment and network installs
- Partner with Solutions Engineering and Operations to assist in configuration changes and documentation for new deployments
- Acquire and analyze wired and wireless packet captures to determine the root cause of issues
- Collaborate with Engineering on feature requests, bugs, and workflow improvements to make Meter Service's products better
- Work closely with the QA team to test new backend, firmware, and UI features thoroughly before deploying to customer networks
- Contribute to the support knowledge base by developing both internal, team-facing and external, customer-facing documentation

The estimated pay range for this role is $95,000 - $120,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter Service's equity plan.
