Job Summary

As a Registered Dietitian II, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and monitoring patient nutrition while providing nutritional education and guidance to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient nutritional needs and develop treatment plans in coordination with other healthcare professionals.
  • Counsel patients on basic and high-risk nutritional needs and provide follow-up continuity of care.
  • Develop and implement patient teaching materials to promote independence and proper monitoring of health conditions.
  • Market and promote nutrition services through communication with area health professionals.
  • Display leadership in area of practice and formulate proper patient care procedures.
  • Interpret and disseminate current scientific information regarding food, nutrition, diet, and health to other health professionals.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement activities to ensure optimization in nutrition care outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition from an accredited or approved education program.
  • 3 years of experience practicing as a Registered Dietitian.
  • Registered Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Maintains dietetic registration and continuing education hours as specified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and state licensure regulations where applicable.
  • Current license by Florida State Board of Examiners of Dietitians preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian with Pediatric experience required and experience calculating TPN required.
  • BLS is required.
