Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing quality patient care while maintaining the imaging equipment for all procedures performed in the laboratory. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring top-quality diagnostic images with minimal patient, physician, and staff radiation exposure.
  • Turning in monthly dosimetry badges for reporting, checking, and posting.
  • Providing radiation safety teaching to laboratory staff and physicians.
  • Assisting in fluoroscoping lead aprons and thyroid shields annually.
  • Preparing patients for pre and post-catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
  • Documenting patient information and ensuring accurate, thorough, and legible records.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a general Radiologic Technologist or one year of experience as a Vascular Tech.
  • Certification by the Bureau of Rad Health and American Registry of Radiological Technologist.
  • CPR certification.
