Condé Nast is seeking a highly skilled Senior Photo Editor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage photography for feature stories and photo essays for our print magazine and digital platforms.
  • Research, commission, and produce visually-driven stories across platforms.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create original interactive features.
  • Discover and develop new photo projects from photographers, agencies, galleries, and book publishers.
  • Pitch and commission ideas for our online photo column, Photo Booth.
  • Ensure accurate caption and credit information.
  • Work with photographers, agencies, vendors, and our licensing and business departments to create budgets, expedite contracts, and oversee invoices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of seven years of experience assigning and producing photo shoots for a national magazine or publication.
  • A strong portfolio of work demonstrating artistic judgment and creativity.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of photography and assignment photographers, and a general familiarity with photo rights.
  • Adobe Creative Suite skills are a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and production skills.
  • Confidence working on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and interest in the topics covered by our magazine, including news, politics, and culture.
  • Ability to work some early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $85,000 - $110,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
