Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality hospice care services, ensuring alignment with patient needs and program requirements. This role requires strong leadership and clinical expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to field staff, ensuring optimal patient care and outcomes.
  • Supervise and develop clinical and support staff, conducting performance evaluations and facilitating ongoing professional development.
  • Manage daily workforce needs, including case assignments, staffing levels, and approval of overtime or time off requests.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Staff Development staff to assess training needs, develop education programs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Take appropriate corrective action to address any issues impacting team clinical or financial outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • RN with BSN; oncology/hospice and palliative care certification preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience with community health oncology/hospice nursing preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
