Job Description

The Logistics Sales Professional will be responsible for driving sales growth of Dachser USA's Air and Sea division by developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize existing business by developing new sales opportunities.
  • Solicit sales from new and existing customers.
  • Identify and qualify sales leads.
  • Update sales activities using sales management software.
  • Maintain close communication with Dachser operations and customer operations.
  • Ensure Dachser services meet customer needs.
  • Meet gross profit requirements.
  • Perform sales and service support functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of freight forwarding sales experience.
  • Strategic sales capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to build strong rapport and establish trust with customers.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows programs.

Physical Demands:

  • No heavy lifting is expected.
  • Manual dexterity for office equipment.
  • Sitting for extended periods or talking on the phone.
  • Hearing and vision within average range.
  • This position is performed in a traditional office setting.
  • Ability to travel is required.
