The Hemodialysis Technician II position at University Health plays a crucial role in the training and development of clinical staff members. This role requires strong coordination and communication skills to ensure a seamless training process.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with the Clinic Manager and Department Nurse Educator to develop and implement training programs for newly hired and existing staff members.
- Initiate clinical floor training that teaches and integrates University Health policies, procedures, and dialysis theory for the treatment of ESRD patients.
- Verify completion of American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider guidelines for all staff members.
- Maintain certification by one of the nationally recognized certification agencies (NNCC or BONENT) and hold a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be a PCT with at least a year of experience in hemodialysis obtained within the last 24 months.
- Certification by one of the nationally recognized certification agencies (NNCC or BONENT).
