The Senior Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in managing and executing all aspects of corporate accounting functions. This includes responsibilities such as month-end and year-end closing processes, tax submissions, audit preparations, general ledger accounting, and various special projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the General Ledger and accurately document all corporate financial transactions.
  • Prepare and record all journal entries, demonstrating a solid understanding of debits and credits.
  • Conduct reconciliations for corporate bank accounts and accurately document banking transactions.
  • Analyze and reconcile corporate balance sheet accounts.
  • Support compliance initiatives and conduct internal audits as necessary.
  • Generate monthly profit and loss variance analysis reports for management review.
  • Identify and rectify any financial discrepancies.
  • Utilize accounting software to ensure meticulous record-keeping of financial documents.
  • Assist with additional tasks and projects as directed by executive management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience within the manufacturing sector.
  • Proficient in performing monthly profit and loss variance and balance sheet account analyses.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP standards with the capability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and goal-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (including Vlookups, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ERP accounting software; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
