Position Overview

The CT Imaging Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services under the guidance of a Radiologist. This position involves effectively communicating with patients and ensuring their comfort during procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Clearly explain procedures to patients and assist them in achieving optimal positioning for imaging.
  • Image Acquisition: Capture high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to established protocols.
  • Contrast Administration: Administer intravenous and oral contrast materials in line with departmental guidelines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Operate and maintain imaging equipment, recognizing and reporting any malfunctions to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals during specialized imaging procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, imaging results, and procedural details.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Experience: 0-3 years in a similar role.
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid license to practice as a Radiographer in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Certifications: A.R.R.T. registration in Radiography is required; A.R.R.T. certification in CT is preferred or must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • CPR Certification: Current BLS or CPR certification is required or must be obtained within six weeks of hire.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to provide comprehensive imaging services.
