Medicorp, Inc is seeking a skilled Interventional Pulmonologist to join our team in Missouri. As a critical care pulmonologist, you will be responsible for providing consultative services to patients with complex respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bronchoscopies and needle localizations using the Veran Peripheral Lung Navigation System
- Utilize the Olympus Endobronchial Ultrasound System for diagnostic purposes
- Operate the Olympus 4mm and Pentax 5 mm Bronchoscopes for patient care
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists to provide treatment options for patients using the Varian Linear Accelerator with 3D, IMRT, and SBRT capabilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with lung tumors using Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy
- Evaluate patients for motion management using the GE Large Bore 4D CT
- Perform low-dose screening using 2 CT scanners
Our Cancer Treatment Center:
- Has a new infusion center with 21 chairs
- Is approved for the 340B drug discount program
- Sees approximately 450 new cancer cases per year
- Has a 12-bed ICU with Hospitalists overseeing patient care
- Offers multidisciplinary rounds with a team of medical oncologists and radiation oncologists
- Performs bronchoscopies in the OR, ICU, or endoscopy suite
- Has 6 ORs available for procedures
- Offers an extremely light call schedule with no need to come in all weekends
- Handles emergencies with Hospitalists and ER physicians
- Provides consultative services only, averaging 2 consults per week
- Is an integral part of developing a Lung Nodule/Lung Cancer Screening program
- Has a strong, robust Oncology program
- Has a cardiothoracic surgeon available for collaboration
