Position Overview

This role is situated within our Structural Heart division, where our mission is to enhance health and improve life quality through innovative device solutions for structural heart conditions.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing quality and process engineering support to our manufacturing operations, ensuring the delivery of superior products to our customers. Additionally, you will collaborate with product development teams to guarantee the highest standards in new product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage manufacturing process defects, including scrap and nonconforming materials, by participating in teams focused on root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support the development of product quality plans and documentation by collaborating with product development team members.
  • Conduct risk analyses and Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs) to enhance product quality.
  • Establish process monitoring systems to identify critical steps and reduce process variation, thereby minimizing defects.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvement by capturing quality metrics and performing analyses to support product design and development.
  • Assist in the creation of quality tools and training materials, identifying effective resources to enhance quality practices.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and contribute to team dynamics.
  • Plan and prioritize daily tasks to meet established objectives.
  • Exercise sound judgment and authority within defined parameters to determine appropriate actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
