Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing assessment and treatment services to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify mental health needs and develop treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address patient needs
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in psychology
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, license in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist within one year of hire
  • Experience working as a Psychologist in a psychiatric healthcare facility or correctional setting
  • Forensic certification by Virginia's Institute of Law, Psychiatry, and Public Policy
  • Board certification in psychology
