Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance on steel mill equipment and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance the steel-making process.
- Maintain a safe work environment by strictly adhering to safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Demonstrate accountability by taking ownership of work tasks and ensuring desired results are achieved.
- Proactively identify work that needs to be done and take on responsibilities and challenges with a positive attitude.
- Work effectively within a team environment, promoting mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Resolve conflicts when necessary and work collaboratively to achieve common goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members, ensuring clear understanding and coordination of tasks.
- Utilize knowledge of maintenance systems and techniques to service, repair, adjust, and test equipment, systems, and processes.
- Make informed decisions by considering the costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate solution.
- 4 years of experience in an industrial electrical role, or a combination of 4 years of experience and a trade school degree.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong understanding of fundamental electrical theory.
- Knowledge and experience with AC & DC motors.
- Experience with power transformers and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Formal training or knowledge in electrical safety practices.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, mobile cranes, and other mobile equipment.
- Formal education or training in electrical theory.
- In-depth knowledge of AC and DC motor operation and maintenance.
