Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Investment Associate to join our Growth Investments team in San Francisco. The successful candidate will contribute to the identification, origination, evaluation, diligence, and negotiation of new investments, as well as asset management activities within our growing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new investment opportunities and synthesize findings in the form of PowerPoint presentations, Word memos, and Excel models for internal discussions.
  • Participate in preparing all aspects of internal investment documentation, including PowerPoint presentations, Word memos, and Excel models, to be presented to governing bodies of Novo Holdings.
  • Manage projects by taking the lead on scoping and managing the content and timing of relevant due diligence streams related to investment projects and portfolio companies.
  • Create models in Excel to assess new potential and current investments, including bottom-up operational forecasting, valuation models, and capital structure models.
  • Expand industry expertise through desktop research, external meetings, expert calls, external advisors, and conferences.
  • Leverage the knowledge and capabilities of the broader Novo Holdings team and collaborate with other departments and colleagues on investment projects in overlapping industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution.
  • 2+ years of experience at a top investment bank or leading consultancy or leading investment organization.
  • Strong financial modeling skill set.
  • An interest in life sciences.
