Job Title: Registered Nurse - 72 Hour Shift

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse in our Family Birthing Center, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, and developing individualized plans of care. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and identify patient physiological and psycho-social problems and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for each patient.
  • Ensure that nursing care is consistent with the medical plan and adheres to accepted current standards of care and practice.
  • Make appropriate assignments to team members and maintain accountability for members under your direction.
  • Ensure that nursing care adheres to current hospital/departmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Participate in the orientation of new personnel and assist clinical instructors in providing learning experiences for nursing students.
Requirements:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Tennessee Board of Nursing, or have a temporary permit to practice.
  • Must be currently certified (or scheduled for certification or recertification training according to department guidelines) in the life support program(s) specific to unit(s) worked (CPR, ACLS, NALS).
