We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in wastewater treatment plant and heavy civil construction to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creates detailed material take-offs for estimating and bulk material procurement.
  • Assists with complex estimating tasks, including the development of Estimate Plans.
  • Manages all aspects of the estimating process.
  • Applies estimating terminology, measures, concepts, and principles to compile various estimates.
  • Familiarity with the Hard Dollar estimating system is a plus.
  • Conducts independent evaluations, adaptations, and modifications of standard estimating techniques and criteria.
  • Prepares or oversees the preparation of comprehensive project estimates, providing both conceptual and final input.
  • Acts as a mentor to younger staff.
  • Develops wage rate build-ups.
  • Analyzes subcontractor bids for scope and pricing.
  • Creates cash flow schedules and estimates.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience estimating with a focus on water and wastewater plants.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Prior heavy civil construction experience.
  • Prior Water Industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of Estimator software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to manage changing timelines and collaborate with multiple team leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills.
