Job Summary

Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure Safe Work Practices: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company policies and procedures, identifying potential hazards, and reporting incidents to management.
  2. Complete Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  3. Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Use technical skills and knowledge to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, minimizing downtime and ensuring production efficiency.
  4. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of equipment, parts, and supplies, anticipating needs and ordering replacements as required.
  5. Communicate with Team Members: Collaborate with production staff and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  6. Document and Report: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, reports, and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Technical Degree or Equivalent: A two-year technical degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical sciences, or equivalent experience and training.
  • Industrial Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of industrial experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and visual acuity.
