Residential Caregiver

Northpointe Behavioral Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Specialist to join our team at The Pines Home in Kingsford, Michigan.

This is a full-time or part-time opportunity on 2nd shift, providing support to individuals who live in our licensed residential setting by offering personal care and comprehensive community living support services.

• Administer and document therapeutic activities as trained per the individual plan of service.
• Safely transport and accompany individuals to and from community needs according to the individual plan of service.
• Attend and participate in staff/team meetings.
• Advocate and ensure that Recipient Rights are respected and protected.
• Observe and document individuals' behaviors involving interaction with others, physical health, communication, feeding patterns, toileting, etc.
• Provide verbal, nonverbal, behavioral, or physical interventions according to CPI training.
• Administer medications as prescribed by a physician after completion of training.
• Interact with individuals and involve them in activities that are a part of their daily routine.
• Assist individuals as needed with bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing.
• Record data into the individuals' electronic medical record.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals, coworkers, and the community at all times.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Experience working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disability preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Certification as a nursing assistant preferred.
