Job Overview

The Army National Guard is seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join their team as Signal Support Systems Specialists. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of communication systems within the military.

Your primary responsibility will be to integrate signal systems and networks, perform signal support functions, and maintain authorized signal equipment. You will also install, operate, and maintain radio and data distribution systems, providing technical assistance and training for automation and communications equipment.

In addition to your technical skills, you will have the opportunity to develop leadership abilities and supervise other Soldiers. You will also prepare maintenance and supply requests for unit-level signal support and operate and perform preventative maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain radio and data distribution systems
  • Perform signal support functions and technical assistance for computer systems
  • Provide technical assistance and training for local area networks
  • Maintenance for equipment, terminal devices, assigned vehicles, and power generators

Requirements
  • Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
  • Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements
